Updated fees effective from 1st July 2023.

All student visa holders are required to have a valid Emirates ID card.

* The student visa deposit is refundable when all of the visa exit processes have been completed.

The university reserves the right to withhold the student visa deposit if any tuition fees are still outstanding and until they are paid in full.

** Emirates ID, Immigration & TECOM overstay fines are applicable if residency & Emirates ID are not renewed on time or student stays out of the country for more than 6 months.

** Students who want to change their visa status within the UAE after their visa has been cancelled will be required to provide a copy of their new entry permit in order to collect their passport from the Campus.

** Students who fail to cancel their student visa prior to leaving the UAE once they have graduated, or withdrawing from the University, will be considered absconded by the TECOM free zone authority and will forfeit their visa deposit.

^The standard insurance fee is for anyone without pre-existing health conditions (ongoing treatments). In case of any pre-existing health condition declared and/or maternity cover (married female applicant), a higher premium will be charged depending on the condition & treatment.

Health insurance

As part of the visa laws, all students must have health insurance for the duration of their visa. Students issued with a visa have access to our group medical health insurance scheme. Murdoch University Dubai has partnered with a local insurance company to provide a comprehensive and competitively priced medical insurance plan.

This scheme is compulsory for visa sponsored students. It provides round the clock cover in a wide network of hospitals and clinics in the UAE, whether as an outpatient, inpatient or an emergency admission.
